On 14th May this month it was a national holiday of Kamuzu Day, citizens across the nation gathered to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Malawi's first President and a towering figure in the country's history. Amidst the festivities and reflections, Dr Razarus Mccarthy Chakwera delivered a marvellous address, honoring Kamuzu's achievements while outlining his administration's vision for the future.  In his speech, Chakwera paid tribute to Dr. Banda's visionary leadership and tireless efforts in shaping the nation's trajectory during its formative years. POOR WASTE MANAGEMENT

 Blantyre is one of the cities known of its cleanliness In Malawi. However it is much pathetic that the city has got poor waste management sometimes. This month on 14th at Naperi river which is in Blantyre town, has been observed that there have been alot of solid wastes along it's banks which includes unburn industrial wastes, paper plastics as well as agricultural wastes.  Generation of wastes is a part and parcel of day-to-day human life and they are generated from various sources that's why there has to be a proper arrangement on how to dispose these wastes. Mostly these soda cans, plastic water bottles, broken home appliances e.t.c make up these wastes.  Regardless of this city, there has been a problem with the wastes ever since industrial revolution.
